Prof. Dr. Markus Beckmann

Fields of knowledge: Economics, Ethics

In my research, I deal with the interdependencies of systems such as market economy, democracy and civil society as well as the actors in them, be they organisations such as companies and NGOs or individuals such as entrepreneurs, employees and consumers. I am interested in which intended (e.g. innovation, added value) and unintended effects (e.g. environmental pollution, corruption, lobbying) arise in this interaction, which rules are suitable to avoid negative consequences, and which images are suitable to guide the search for such solutions.
