Prof. Dr. Dr. Alexander Brink, born 1970 in Düsseldorf, is Professor of Business and Corporate Ethics at the University of Bayreuth and partner of concern GmbH, a CSR consulting and investment company co-founded by him and based in Cologne. He is a lecturer at the University of Witten/Herdecke and scientific director of the „Zentrum für Wirtschaftsethik” in Berlin.


Short vita

Alexander Brink studied economics (Dipl.-Ökonom) and philosophy (Magister Artium) and received his doctorate in the following three years in both disciplines (Dr. phil. and Dr. rer. pol.). This was 8  followed by research within the framework of a multi-year project on justice (funded by the “Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft”) and at Yale University in New Haven. From 2002 to 2008 he was junior professor for applied ethics in the Bayreuth Bachelor and Master program Philosophy & Economics. He gained practical experience in the areas of corporate development, corporate strategy, controlling, finance and sales at Mannesmann, SKW Trostberg and Degussa in Düsseldorf, New York and Sydney.
