Anja Katrin Orth

In her research, Anja Katrin Orth mainly deals with migration, value systems and attitudes. Her goal is to be able to identify clear cause-effect relationships on the basis of individual data. She works mainly with experimental and quasi-experimental methods and tries to break down the effects to the smallest spatial level.


In my work, it is always important to me that I maintain an interdisciplinary perspective.


Short vita

Anja Katrin Orth was born in Düsseldorf in 1989. After completing her bachelor's degree in Passau and Alicante (Spain) and her Master's in International Economics and Policy Consulting at Otto-vonGuericke University in Magdeburg, she worked from 2014 to 2015 on regional labour markets at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Halle. In 2015 she moved to the Institute of the German Economy (IW) in the field of education, immigration and innovation. Since 2017 she has been working in the field of behavioural economics and business ethics. Anja Katrin Orth combines the fields of migration and behavioural economics with her doctorate in economics, which she started in 2018.
